DVT to expand and strengthen LiveU presence in New Zealand

LiveU has partnered with Digital Video Technologies (DVT) to expand its presence in the New Zealand market. DVT will represent the LiveU’s professional broadcast and sports solutions across the country and provide support for broadcasters utilising LiveU’s remote contribution, cloud production, and IP distribution solutions.

DVT, established in 1996, offers digital production solutions to the New Zealand production, post production, and visual effects market, and specialises in delivering technological solutions in the video, broadcast, and entertainment sectors.

Chris Dredge, Country & Sales Manager of LiveU Pacific, said, “New Zealand’s broadcast and sports market is thriving with incredible opportunities for growth. We’re thrilled to team up with the recognised expert in the field, helping customers to produce the highest quality, creative live productions with a total integrated solution.”

Dredge shared that preparations are underway for the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, which is taking place from July 20 to August 20. DVT — supported by LiveU solutions — will provide on-the-ground service and support to broadcasters and rights holders during the football tournament.

Alain Bach, Managing Director of DVT, said, “This collaboration not only strengthens our position as a leading broadcasting solutions provider but also reinforces our commitment to offering our customers the most advanced tools available.

“LiveU already has a significant presence in the New Zealand broadcast industry, and through its partnership with DVT, more customers will have better access to LiveU’s portable transmission units, cloud-based management platforms, and advanced IP video solutions along with specialised local support.”
