New TSL Audio Product Monitors 2110-30 Streams at IBC

At the renowned IBC Show 2023 in Amsterdam, TSL, a key player in the audio technology industry, unveiled its latest product, designed to revolutionise audio stream monitoring. Steve Cole, the Audio Product Manager for TSL, presented the MPA1-Mix-Net-V-R, which allows for the meticulous monitoring of 2110-30 audio streams.

“When we set out to develop the MPA1-Mix-Net-V-R, our primary aim was to offer an innovative solution to the current challenges faced in audio stream monitoring,” Cole shared with Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+. He emphasised the product’s capability to handle 2110-30 streams, an increasingly vital feature for many businesses in the sector.

At the heart of this state-of-the-art device is the provision to monitor 2110-30 streams for audio, bolstered by a redundant ST2022-7 network connection. Cole provided a brief demonstration, showcasing how users could seamlessly mix up to eight sources together, making the process of creating an audio monitoring mix significantly simpler. This mix can be channeled either through speakers or via headphone output.

Further delving into the technical aspects, Cole remarked, “Not only can you have a mix from eight different sources, but we’ve also integrated the functionality for 16 configurations of those eight-source mixes.” This essentially translates to an impressive capability of accepting 64 channels coming in on the 2110-30 stream.

However, TSL recognises the diverse needs of its clientele. For those seeking alternatives, Cole highlighted an optional feature: “For businesses or individuals who have a preference for MADI input, there’s an option to channel up to 64 channels through it.”

The IBC Show in Amsterdam has always been a focal point for technological advancements in broadcasting and media. TSL’s newest offering not only aligns with the event’s tradition of fostering innovation but also signals the brand’s continued commitment to addressing the nuanced requirements of the industry.

To wrap up his interview with Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+, Cole graciously acknowledged the platform IBC provided for the announcement. “Introducing the MPA1-Mix-Net-V-R here at IBC has been an invaluable experience. We are eager to see how it gets integrated into various workflows and aids professionals in the field.”

Those attending the IBC Show can get a firsthand look at the MPA1-Mix-Net-V-R at TSL’s dedicated booth. As the event progresses, it will be intriguing to see how TSL’s new product fares in comparison to other innovations on display.
