Caton solves DAZN’s need for secure reliable IP transport system
Caton Technology has announced a strategic partnership with DAZN, a global sports streaming platform, to deliver a robust IP transport solution for the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3X3 World Tour 2024 broadcasts in Taiwan. The collaboration addresses significant hurdles DAZN faced in transmitting high-quality sports content from Romania and Hong Kong to Taiwan.
DAZN encountered substantial difficulties in receiving secure reliable transport (SRT) streams from FIBA via the public Internet using a third-party decoder. Decoding issues, coupled with the complexities of open Internet conditions, hindered the delivery of consistent, high-quality video. This posed a critical challenge for DAZN, impacting its ability to broadcast high-profile events.
Caton’s solution leverages its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Media XStream platform to transform the unpredictable public Internet into a managed network, ensuring reliable IP transport. The company’s Caton Prime video processor, with its support for advanced codecs and enhanced picture quality, ensures optimal video delivery. Moreover, Caton’s monitoring and diagnostics tools provide real-time insights into network performance, enabling proactive issue resolution.
