KRISTAL Media honoured with two accolades at Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2025

The company took home two awards for its initiatives in transforming broadcasting experience.

KRISTAL Media was recognised at the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting+ Awards 2025, being named the winner of the Hybrid Broadcast Truck – Brunei and Hybrid Events – Brunei categories.

Brunei’s first mobile broadcast studio

KRISTAL Media has redefined how radio reaches and connects with people by introducing KRISTAL On-The-Go Kruiser, Brunei’s first-ever mobile broadcast studio. This is a state-of-the-art truck that allows KRISTALfm to take live radio out of the studio and bring it directly into the heart of communities and events.

Launched in September 2024 at the popular Borneo Kustom Show, the KRISTAL Kruiser blends traditional FM radio, online streaming, and social media broadcasting—all from one vehicle.

KRISTAL Kruiser, being a studio on wheels, is fully mobile and ready to broadcast live from anywhere. It supports multi-platform transmission, going live on FM radio, online, and social media all at once. It is also packed with remote-controlled equipment, which allows top-quality broadcasts with a small team. Moreover, it is designed for fast setup, so shows can go live with minimal planning and maximum impact.

The mobile studio boosts community engagement as it allows listeners to be part of the live show. It opens new business opportunities as well, attracting sponsors and partners looking for unique and on-the-ground brand exposure.

More importantly, it blends traditional and digital media, ensuring KRISTALfm stays relevant in the fast-changing media world.

Since hitting the road, the KRISTAL Kruiser has broadcasted from over 15 major events, including festivals, community gatherings, and corporate activations.

It has also brought DJs face-to-face with their listeners, creating real-time and on-site interaction. Additionally, it helps brands and government agencies connect with the public through live promotions and campaigns.

During its debut at the Borneo Kustom Show, fans watched their favourite DJs live in action, joined on-air games, and interacted with the team—all whilst thousands more tuned in on FM and digital platforms.

Interactive broadcasting experiences

KRISTAL Kruiser is under the KRISTAL On-The-Go, a flexible, all-in-one broadcasting and engagement solution that has changed how people experience live events in Brunei.

Launched in early 2023, in a time when events are expected to be both in-person and online, KRISTAL On-The-Go has brought together live radio, audience participation, and branded activations.

KRISTAL On-The-Go was built to fit any event space with two setup options: the KRISTAL Kruiser or outdoor setup, and the indoor lounge setup, which features a stylish, modular broadcast lounge ideal for indoor venues or smaller spaces where the Kruiser can’t go.

Both options deliver live radio broadcasts, audience engagement, and brand promotion in one seamless experience. By bringing together live broadcasting, digital engagement, and on-site interaction, KRISTAL On-The-Go has achieved record-breaking foot traffic at events since the June 2024 engagement upgrade.

It also boasts a massive online reach with strong social media shares and live stream views, and new sponsorship deals as brands tap into this fresh and mobile event format. Moreover, it promotes more listener interaction, proving radio is more than just sound—it’s an experience.

KRISTAL Media created KRISTAL On-The-Go to meet the rising demand for events that are both live and interactive, physical and digital. Whether it’s a street festival, mall activation, or corporate event, KRISTAL On-The-Go brings radio to the people.

It’s a next-generation event platform that’s making radio more relevant and more engaging than ever before.
