SmallHD unveils Quantum 27 OLED for high-end post-production workflows
Small HD has expanded its Quantum Series with the launch of the Quantum 27, a 26.5-inch Quantum-Dot OLED monitor designed to deliver post-production grade image quality in a compact, production-friendly form. The new model builds on the success of the Quantum 32, introduced in 2024, by offering the same advanced display performance in a lighter, more versatile chassis optimised for multi-monitor setups in digital imaging technician (DIT) carts and video village environments.

The Quantum 27 offers the same incredible image quality as the Quantum 32 but in a more manageable size, making it easier to deploy multiple units and speed up decision-making on set.”
Developed in collaboration with Samsung Display, the Quantum 27 leverages Quantum-Dot OLED technology to deliver luminance up to 1000 nits and 99% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. Its panel emits narrow-spectrum RGB light uniformly, providing a wide 60-degree viewing angle with consistent colour accuracy, essential for precise image evaluation and calibration.
The Quantum 27 is designed specifically for on-set life. Much lighter than its predecessor, it features practical on-set enhancements including a handle, feet for mobility, a Universal 100mm VESA mount, and an ARCA Rail system. The monitor features tactile dials for hands-on control and offers multiple power options, including dual 2-pin LEMO outputs, USB-C, and USB-A. It is compatible with both Gold Mount and V-Mount battery plates, adding to its flexibility.
Like all Quantum Series displays, the Quantum 27 is powered by PageOS — SmallHD’s widely adopted monitor operating system. The latest update introduces new features, including a simplified Colour Pipe UI, improved rotary control dials, multi-view capabilities for comparing inputs and LUTs, as well as WiFi adapter support for wireless control.
