Global connectivity provider Telxius is partnering with Synamedia to enable content providers to adopt a flexible, scalable, multi-content delivery network (CND).

With the Telxius carrier-grade CDN now integrated into Synamedia’s multi-CDN management platform, content providers can switch between CDNs for the first time and expand their coverage to reach and target new audiences. With the Quortex Switch multi-CDN management platform, content providers can use content steering to switch viewers between CDNs based on Quality of Experience (QoE) and cost, expanding their coverage to reach and target new audiences.

With strategic Points of Presence (PoPs) worldwide, Telxius’ carrier-grade CDN is directly integrated into its Tier 1 IP high-capacity backbone and submarine cable systems, providing high performance, reliability, and security. This integration enables full end-to-end control of traffic delivery, allows for rapid infrastructure scaling, and ensures cost-efficiency across the entire CDN deployment.

Additionally, Telxius is a trusted IP transit provider for many leading ISPs, reaching millions of users worldwide.

Mónica Martínez, Telxius CMO, said, “Our carrier-grade CDN leverages our extensive global infrastructure to deliver superior performance, reliability, and security. Now, with the addition of Quortex Switch, our content provider customers will be able to take their streaming services to the next level, enhancing the QoE for streaming viewers as well as end-to-end control.”

Launched in March 2025, Quortex Switch is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based tool that simplifies the design and management of multi-CDN systems supporting high quality streaming and providing disaster recovery.

Based on the latest content steering industry standards, it eliminates traditional client dependencies, resulting in instant deployment without modifying any players or apps. Unlike legacy CDN selectors tied to static rules or SDK (Software Development Kit) integrations, Quortex Switch dynamically optimises traffic based on real-time QoE, network conditions, and cost.

It delivers true mid-stream switching for uninterrupted viewing experiences and offers open-standard APIs for rapid onboarding of new CDNs, giving partners like Telxius unmatched agility, resilience, and delivery efficiency at scale.

Edward Allfrey, General Manager of Video Network, Synamedia, said, “Telxius already has a strong position and by choosing to partner with us to deploy Quortex Switch for its content provider customers, it is increasing the value of its offer and extending CDN reach to new markets.”
