Thailand’s TrueVisions NOW, an over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform from TrueVisions, has chosen Friend MTS (FMTS) to protect its premium content. By combining FMTS watermarking with channel video-on-demand (VoD) monitoring, TrueVisions says it is significantly strengthening its ability to combat piracy.
The decision to adopt FMTS technologies and services follows TrueVisions’ recent statement that it wants to make TrueVisions NOW the No.1 streaming service for home entertainment in the country. The streaming platform offers thousands of hours of premium local and international content and has exclusive national rights to F1, MotoGP, Muay Thai, UCL, Laliga, Serie A, Badminton BWF, The Masters Tournament, PGA Championship, U.S. Open (Golf), The Open Championship, Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open (Tennis).
TrueVisions NOW also integrates leading platforms including iQIYI, WeTV, and Viu. It features originals from its own studio along with short-form vertical dramas. This level of investment in premium content requires robust and effective protection against the inevitable piracy attacks that True can expect.
Ongard Prapakamol, Head of TrueVisions & Media Division, True Corporation, said, “As streaming grows in popularity in Thailand, we are riding the crest of the wave with huge investments to give our subscribers a rich variety of high-quality entertainment and sports. This new partnership with Friend MTS ensures that we are securing that investment — and our business — by cracking down on piracy.”
Shane McCarthy, CEO, Friend MTS, added, “TrueVisions has consistently set the standard for pay-TV in the region, and we're proud they've chosen Friend MTS to protect that position.
“The most premium content deserves the most premium protection — that's what we deliver for TrueVisions and across APAC.”
