Magna Systems recruits new sales manager

Joining Magna Systems’ New Zealand team is Chris Parnell, who will oversee the company’s sales portfolio across the country
Systems integrator Magna Systems and Engineering has named Chris Parnell as New Zealand sales manager. In his new role, Parnell will be responsible for promoting and managing Magna Systems’ broadcast, telecoms, storage, IT and government solutions across the country.
Parnell will be based in Auckland, where he has additional support and resources available to him for the New Zealand market from all the offices in the Magna group throughout Asia-Pacific.
He said: “Magna Systems and Engineering is a very dynamic company with a clear growth plan and strategy in the Asia-Pacific region. [Magna Systems] is committed to a successful future in New Zealand, and I’m delighted that I’ll be able to play a key role in making sure all of its clients benefit, as a result of that continued commitment.”
With over 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry across national and international markets, Parnell brings with him the sales and technical disciplines required by New Zealand’s broadcast, telecoms and government clients, refined in roles working with companies including Quinto NZ, Renaissance, and Apple Australia.
Matthew Clemesha, CEO of Magna Systems and Engineering, concluded: “Chris is an excellent addition to Magna’s team, and the ideal person to help drive our New Zealand business forward. His previous experience sets him up to manage our traditional broadcast business, and also our IP, over-the-top (OTT), quality of service (QoS), quality of experience (QoE) and telecoms solutions.
“The fact that he was chosen to lead a new engagement strategy for the Renaissance and Apple Australia commercial and government teams, which then led to consistent year-on-year sales growth, shows you the high-calibre kind of individual he is.”
