Vietnamese broadcaster’s new OTT video service is being powered by the Accedo One platform

Vietnamese broadcaster VTC has launched VTC One, a direct-to-consumer, over-the-top (OTT) video service. According to Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, OTT project manager at VTC, the new service aims to reach as many viewers as possible, and to offer a relevant choice of content and services within one dynamic video experience.

VTC One is powered by Accedo One’s Studio Professional UX platform, and offers news, sports and popular entertainment .

Nguyen said: “Accedo’s Studio Professional platform has enabled us to create a one-of-a-kind video, audio, learning, social and retail experience – within one easy-to-use application.”

For the project, Accedo worked with partners such as Ateme, Anevia, Brightcove, Akamai, Viettel and AWS to transform and extend the VTC Now video experience to Android, iOS, WebOS, Android TV and Tizen devices.

Matt Kossatz, Accedo’s VP for APAC, concluded: “The [VTC] team leverages our best-in-class native code technology, making full use of the state-of-the-art WYSIWYG app editing capabilities to create some truly unique video experiences, including integrating a music player into the service.”
