Setting sights on the growth opportunities in Asia-Pacific’s streaming market, Interra Systems has developed quality control (QC) and monitoring solutions that cover the entire gamut of content preparation and delivery, from A/V quality checks to monitoring, captions, lip sync and deep-dive analytics.

At this month’s BroadcastAsia 2022, the company will be highlighting the Orion-OTT monitoring solution for live and video-on-demand (VoD) streaming. Deployable in the cloud or on-premises, Orion-OTT has recently been enhanced with features like ad-insertion monitoring, Dolby Vision and high dynamic range (HDR) support, visual trending for quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) metrics, CPIX-based digital rights management (DRM) integrations, and new A/V quality checks.

In addition to Orion-OTT, Interra Systems will demonstrate its Orion solution for monitoring linear channels in an IP-based delivery infrastructure. New features include support for monitoring of contribution stream formats (SRT/RIST), enhanced video dropout detection and a wider range of audio quality checks.

Other members of the Orion product suite are Orion Central Manager (OCM) and Orion 2110. The latter supports the SMPTE ST2110 standard, providing Asia-Pacific broadcasters with a monitoring solution for assuring the best possible video quality in an IP distribution environment. for monitoring SCTE-104 ad signalling, and exportable reports and video thumbnails.

As for OCM, it provides a consolidated view of both linear and over-the-top (OTT) workflows across the enterprise by enabling central management of multiple Orion linear and Orion-OTT setups present at the same or diverse geographic locations. Visitors to BroadcastAsia 2022 at Singapore Expo can view the Orion product suite at Interra Systems at booth 5G1-10 (June 1-3).
