At NAB 2026, Starfish Technologies will showcase the latest updates to its transport stream processing solutions, TS Splicer (Win) and TS Splicer (K8), alongside a new monitoring dashboard to give operators enhanced visibility and control across their deployments.

TS Splicer offers a broad suite of functionality for handling encoded media streams, including clean switching of live feeds, ad replacement, regional programme substitution, SCTE-35 processing, and logo insertion. The software supports MPEG-2, AVC/H.264, and HEVC/H.265 streams across SD, HD, and 4K/Ultra HD (UHD) services, with built-in SMPTE 2022-7 input protection. These updates include refinements driven by years of user feedback, ensuring the tools meet the needs of modern broadcast operations.

Designed for flexible deployment across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures, the new releases allow operators to configure and enable features remotely. A single software installation can be scaled or adapted without requiring a platform reinstall, enabling teams to respond quickly to evolving operational requirements.

Complementing the splicer updates, Starfish’s new monitoring dashboard provides a consolidated view of the status of running services and systems. By offering real-time insights into distributed environments, it enables engineering teams to supervise operations efficiently and respond proactively to any issues.

Starfish’s transport stream processing solutions run as Windows-based applications for TS Splicer (Win) or within Kubernetes environments for TS Splicer (K8), and a comprehensive REST API supports integration within existing automation, control, and monitoring systems. The organisation reports that its solutions are currently deployed across more than 1,000 live channels worldwide.

Peter Blatchford, CMO, Starfish Technologies, said, “Our customers want transport stream processing that is straightforward to deploy, simple to manage and flexible enough to evolve. By installing the software once and enabling functionality as required, operators can add and remove features quickly and easily.

“Combined with the new monitoring dashboard, it gives them both control and visibility across their services.”

Starfish Technologies will be exhibiting at booth W2017 during NAB 2026, which is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Centre from April 19 - 22.
