Techtel launches inctrl platform to redefine production control

Techtel has unveiled inctrl, a web-based production control system that brings live video directly into the browser, enabling remote production from virtually anywhere. The new platform aims to modernise production workflows by consolidating multiple operational tasks into a single, intuitive interface.

By combining device control, live video feeds, graphics, dynamic branding metadata, and production switching on a single platform, inctrl reduces operational complexity. Users no longer need multiple operators to manage broadcast, with the system’s interface designed to get teams of all experience levels up and running quickly.

Built entirely on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware, inctrl can be deployed on-premises, in private infrastructure, or in the cloud. Native integration with Microsoft Entra enables secure identity and access management, allowing organisations to control production environments, including virtual control rooms, without additional client-side installations.

Mal Chandler, CEO of Techtel, said, “We could see the market was looking for a solution that leveraged their existing investment in desktop computers and IT infrastructure. They didn’t want to purchase dozens of proprietary touch panels or custom servers that didn’t align with their typical IT refresh cycles.

“inctrl lets our customers modernise production control without reinventing their entire technology stack.”

A standout feature of inctrl is its virtual control rooms, which enable dynamic scaling without physical infrastructure limitations. Organisations can now scale production capacity virtually, reclaiming resources previously locked by hardware constraints.

Security is built in from the ground up, with a least-privilege model and tiered user permissions. Administrators have full control over system settings while operators are restricted to assigned virtual spaces. Everything from camera presets and graphics templates to speaker databases is fully configurable by the user, enabling internal teams to manage core updates independently.

“The Panasonic KAIROS platform gives inctrl users an advantage over traditional mixers due to its ability to support multiple productions simultaneously,” Chandler added.

“With a single KAIROS system, we can produce five or more live broadcasts at once. It really is a game changer and matches the flexibility inctrl provides for simultaneous access — without users ever needing to think about what’s happening behind the scenes.

“inctrl is poised to become a centrepiece for any organisation looking to embrace a future of software-based control, production and IP video — key design principles underpinning all modern production system builds.”
