Wooden Camera, a designer and producer of camera accessories owned by Vindendum, has announced the release of new accessories for the Blackmagic URSA Cine Immersive. The new line-up includes a redesigned Top Plate and Side Rails, optimised for the camera’s immersive capture format and unique form factor.
Dominick Aiello, Divisional Senior Director of Accessories at Creative Solutions, said, “The market for immersive film-making is still emerging, but it’s important that our accessories evolve alongside it.
“Since we had already developed accessories for the URSA Cine 12K and 17K, this release focused on refining those designs to fit the Immersive model based on user feedback.”
The new accessories include Top Plate, which now comes with an extended design to accommodate the camera’s 180° field of view. This includes additional mounting points, while maintaining heat dissipation and reducing flex with integrated padding.
The Side Rails feature reduces flex in the Top Plate and mounts directly to the Top and Riser Plates without obstructing rod placement. The Right Side Rail includes multiple mounting points for additional accessories.
“This release also gave us the opportunity to revisit our URSA Cine 12K and 17K ecosystem, and improve the overall offering,” added Aiello. “Alongside these updates, we’ve introduced Side Rails for existing models and a 30V Power Supply for optimal camera and D-Box performance.”
